vegas weekend

psh. of course, kate looks beautiful and i look cheesy. 

saturday kate and i drove to vegas to have an epic girls weekend. i haven't had that much fun in such a long time.
we drove down saturday morning, checked into our hotel room and went to the new york, new york for a pretzel snack. after a few hours just chilling in our room we, went to the rio world carnival buffet for dinner. it's one of my favorite places to eat in vegas: i had so many yummy deserts. back at the room, we got ready for our "night on the town" (kate and katie style, of course). we got all glamourous, and i got to wear my cute red dress i got for graduation again. luckily, we decided against heels and went on walkabout in flats. after seeing the sights, getting a few drinks, and making our feet sore, we got (yes, another) pretzel from the new york, new york and headed back to our room. it was so fun to just be silly and away: not worrying about cc responsibilities, summer conferences, or the way that everything is about to change. it was great to get away and be happy for a while.
we slept late on sunday, got coffee and a small breakfast before beginning our shopping adventure. kate had never been in an h&m before and we had a blast shopping and getting new clothes. after a dash to sephora so i could get some mascara and face soap, we were on our way back to cedar city. we were gone for just over 24 hours, but it was enough to get me through. i have a thousand memories and quotes from our weekend.
last night turned into chaos as nothing went right with two of the four checkins we had last night. but, i woke up today rejuvenated and ready to tackle the world.
