i'm currently reading the happiness project by gretchen rubin. i'm also working on my happiness project toolbox online.
am i happier? not really. is thinking about happiness all the time making it evaporate (like sarah mclachlan says)? maybe a little. am i on the fast track to becoming one of those crazy res life professionals that quotes self-help and life coaching books? more than likely.
but really i'm just trying to figure out how to keep momentum in life. and in turn make other people happy (and see them successful): that's what makes me happy. i'm developing a new supervision model for next year and reading all the cheesy, cliche res life obsession books in the process. in theory, if i'm balanced, happy, and excited about what i do then i'll be able to help my staff reach the same level.
i'm also applying to the asu higher ed program. in other words, i'm taking on the world. it's no biggie. ;)
